Something blue and bountiful for Aisling & James’ Bristol wedding

Aisling and James’ are a sweet couple who were planning a pretty traditional church wedding. Aisling was drawn towards natural, cottage garden style wedding flowers in blues, greens and white.

I chose a selection of wedding flowers which could easily be found in a cottage garden including clematis, sweet peas, lavender and dahlias in shades of white, blue, lavender and green. The cornflowers provided a great pop of bright blue throughout.

The church had more formal pedestal floral arrangements, and at the reception each table was dressed with a trio of vases filled with flowers complimenting the rest of the floral displays and bouquets. The cake featured small clusters of flowers on each tier, and the buffet table was dressed with foliage to tie the whole room together.

A lot of work went into the wedding flowers for Aisling and James’ - I produced one bridal bouquet, five adult bridesmaids’ bouquets, two flower girl flower crowns, two flower girl bouquets, twenty hair flowers, and thirteen buttonholes.

As for the wedding venue decorations, I created two floral pedestal arrangements and one alter arrangement for the church, as well as nineteen table arrangements, cake flowers and foliage for the buffet table.
